Across my travels and experiences around the world, one solution keeps coming up to help reduce the environmental impact of visitors. Some initiatives go even further — 👉 Codes of Conduct or Symbolic Pledges.
Here are two inspiring examples:
🇳🇿 The Tiaki Promise – tiakinewzealand.com
🇮🇸 The Icelandic Pledge – pledge.visiticeland.com
🎯 What if we went even further… together?
Through my international collaborations and conversations, several voices have expressed a strong desire to co-create a "Universal Code of Conduct" — one that goes beyond nature protection and also embraces:
✨ Contributing locally, leaving places even better than we found them (Environmental regeneration)
🌍 Opening up to cultural exchange, allowing ourselves to be transformed by the people we meet (Personal regeneration)
🤝 An inclusive, evolving, collaborative, and community-driven approach.
I’ve already drafted a foundation, gathered concrete action ideas, and outlined approaches ready to be challenged and improved. This project is just waiting to be enriched by diverse perspectives. 🌐
🗓️ I’m planning to organize two co-creation sessions:
One in French
One in English
💬 Who would be interested in joining this collective reflection?
👉 Experts, curious minds, tourism professionals, nature educators, community leaders, and conscious travelers — your voice matters.
Together, let’s shape a global ethical compass for the travelers of today and tomorrow.
